During 2015 Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Scotland (formerly Scottish Spina Bifida Association) was delighted to receive a three year grant from the Barbara Ward Children's Foundation. The grant has allowed young people affected by spina bifida/hydrocephalus to continue to attend two monthly youth groups: Superheroes Group (aged 8-12) and Coolio Club (aged 12-18) where they can socialise and enjoy trips out together.
The Superheroes recently had a cracking outdoor session with Craig from the Forestry Commission. The rain held off long enough for the group to learn how to make dens, do some bushcraft and play games!
Coolio Club enjoyed a chilled evening, chatting and watching Children in Need on the big projector screen. The group discussed ideas for the Xmas party in December and premiered the Reeltime Music DVD, that they created themselves.
